LAX Stationary Stores

Pulp

This LAX pulp store is known for its bizarre stuff that they sell! Items range from bulbous vases made of recycled paper, Japanese sticker sets, cutesy boxes of matches, hound-themed products, and an impressive collection one-of-a-kind greeting cards. Many are handmade, and a select few that are very naughty. The store is also known for its specialty wrapping paper—many are silk-screened flat sheets (custom gift-wrapping is available). The store’s most popular wedding invitations are the do-it-yourself imprintable Envelopments. There is metered and valet parking at the back of the store.

Soolip

Since 1995, this charming stationary store has been famous for its extraordinary wedding invitations and its many quirky greeting cards ("May I suggest a mint?"). A favorite store amongst celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, this paper boutique features the best in unusual and decorative papers imported from around the world. Be sure to check out the highly decorative patterns of Japanese Yuzen Silkscreens, the natural fiber-inclusions of Thai Unryus, the unusual crinkled surfaces of Parisian Froisse and Cloque. Ranging from $3 to $35 per sheet, these papers can be used for many purposes such as gift-wrapping, card making, lampshades, book and album coverings, set design, collage, and much more. As well, you will find naturally pressed flowers, ribbons, twines and various other novelties to satisfy one's own card-making endeavors. Parking spots are available on the street or park your car at the small lot on Norwich.

LAX Vintage Shopping

The Paperbag Princess

One of the city's most important resources for designer and one-of-a-kind vintage in pristine condition, this store outgrew its West Hollywood location and expanded its offerings Beverly Hills. Park your car in the large, free parking lot in back and come in to take a look at a variety of mint-conditions vintage frocks, suits and accessories from Gucci to Chanel as well as a number of non-designer items that are just as stylish and investment worthy! Fashion designers often come here for new inspiration and a section of space is devoted to a reference library for those fashionistas looking to study the sartorial past. Celebs who have worn wares from this store include Jennifer Aniston, Madonna and the Olsen twins.

Decades Inc.

A vintage fashion that looks modern! This upscale boutique offers a small, well-edited collection of men's and women's vintage, mainly from the '60s and '70s. With influential modern designers of yesteryear, including Parisians Andre Courreges, Pierre Cardin, and Paco Rabanne, Decades offers fashion from the 20th century for the 21st century! This boutique is a favorite amongst celebrities such as Renee Zellweger, Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Kidman. Storing designer brands such as Rudi Gernreich, Emilio Pucci, Ossie Clark, and Giorgio di S’ant Angelo, stylists come often to buy for period movies or to dress their celeb clientele. Since there is no parking lot at this LAX vintage boutique, be prepared to poke around the nearby streets for good parking spot!

Third Street Promenade (an extreme mall with street entertainment & beach bums)

Designer Clothes

The promenade is every label lover’s dream come true! With designed stores such as Urban Outfitters, Miss Sixty, French Connection and Von Dutch, you won’t even know where to start. The street performers and lack of vehicle traffic will give visitors a unique designer shopping experience!

For the Kids

Often known as the Mecca of all toy stores, stop your car at the parking lot and take your kids to the famous Puzzle Zoo! Here you will find entire walls devoted to stuffed animals and Star Wars collectibles, while the action-figure collection, ranging from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Lord of the Rings characters, are both organized and accessible. Within this huge toy chest, there are also puzzles of 3-D castles, themed chess sets and an overwhelming doll supply!

  • Original Farmers Market (been around for the past eight decades!)
  • Factory Outlets (check out Ann Taylor, London Fog, Benetton and Casanova Gabriela.)
