The city of Los Angeles is well known for its party scene. All of the hottest clubs can be found here, not to mention some of the best restaurants and most sophisticated lounges. But where does one go to get the party started in Los Angeles? Well, how about the Universal CityWalk outside of Universal Studios Hollywood? Designed to link the previously-isolated Odeon theater multiplex with the ultra-poplar theme park, CityWalk now challenges Old Town Pasadena and Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade as the nighttime pedestrian scene. Built in 1993, the Universal CityWalk now attracts over 8 million people a year thanks to a collection of shops, restaurants and clubs. There's even a giant IMAX theater for avid movie-goers. Whether you're looking to enjoy an afternoon with the family or a night out with friends, the Universal CityWalk is sure to have something for everyone in your LAX parking crew, so why wait? Visit Hollywood's hottest entertainment complex today.

Big City Fun without the Big City Worries

When the Universal CityWalk Hollywood complex first opened more than a decade ago it was quite unlike anything anyone had ever seen before. More than just another shopping mall, the CityWalk features an open-air "street" design, complete with all the glitz and glam you'd expect from a real urban avenue. Yet it features no crime to speak of and absolutely no graffiti. Created by Jon Jerde, the Universal CityWalk resembles a cross between Venice Beach's boardwalk, Disneyland and Hollywood Boulevard. LAX parking customers are encouraged to bask in sunny skies as they shop the CityWalk, and who could resist a drink beneath the nighttime stars? For once, walking outside in the "city" is completely safe, so grab a friend and get out there.

Go Big or Go Home

One walk down the Universal CityWalk and it's easy to see why so many tourists naturally gravitate towards it. From the giant '57 Chevy stuck in the roof at the Hollywood FreeZway yogurt shop to the wave machine in front of the Malibu Ranch, this mall is all about outlandish Hollywood hoopla. Other kooky attractions along the CityWalk include a giant orange slice on top of L.A. Juice, a mammoth neon baseball player at the Upper Deck sports store, and a huge copper pot hung over the P.T. Copperpot Victorian Candy Emporium. The craziness often continues inside stores as well. Take the Captain Coconut Toy Store, for example. Inside you'll find a full scale jungle, complete with tropical sound effects and stuffed animal inhabitants. A mock radio tower and gigantic blue King Kong also dominate the CityWalk landscape, along with a ten-foot tall statue of a Mexican Charro. Nothing's every too absurd in Hollywood.

Satisfy your Cravings

The Universal CityWalk in Hollywood is quite possibly the perfect vacation destination. LAX parking customers can find pretty much everything here. From fantastic restaurants like Gladstones, Wasabi's, and Tony Roma's, to killer clubs like The Rumba Room and Howl at the Moon, this street has it all. There's even an 18 theater movie complex. Live concerts are also a common fixture along the CityWalk, so don't forget to check out the Universal Amphitheatre for upcoming musical acts. And who could forget about the celebrities? Everyone from Michael Jackson to Tyra Banks has been spotted shopping along the CityWalk, so by all means - remember your camera! If you would like to embark on an exciting CityWalk adventure during your upcoming LAX parking vacation, remember to stop in early: the CityWalk features over 93,000 square feet of non-stop fun. The Universal CityWalk is open 11am to 11pm Friday through Saturday and 11am to 9pm on weekdays (restaurants may offer later hours). Parking generally costs about $7 is you choice to utilize the large parking structure at the top of the hill. LAX parking customers are encouraged to contact the CityWalk directly at 1-818-622-4455 for more information.
